How to Help Joe Biden from Your Living Room - Attend Virtual Meeting Tomorrow at 5pm
Here’s an email I received from Chris Thomas, the Executive Director of Montgomery County Democratic Committee (MCDC):
MCDC Community,
This week is a big week for Pennsylvania, with the President visiting communities across the Commonwealth, and all of our work to turn out Democrats for the Primary on April 23.
This Tuesday, April 16 at 5 PM, the Biden campaign is hosting a Special Virtual Volunteer Training Opportunity for Democrats across PA to learn more about how critical your story is to winning this year, and how to help us win this Fall! They'll have special guests provide an inside view and the best messaging to share with about the importance of re-electing Joe Biden for President.
We are told this by campaign officials: "I promise it will be worth everyone’s while." Together we will make sure PA stays Blue and elects leaders committed to fighting for our communities.
Please RSVP for this special virtual opportunity at https://www.mobilize.us/2024pavictory/event/619683/
Best,
Chris Thomas, Executive Director, Montgomery County Democratic Committee
Mail-In Ballots are Arriving Later than Expected
And here’s an email from the Montgomery County Elections Board about the lateness of mail-in ballots for the April primary election. The short version is the Elections Board would like you to use drop boxes due to the lateness of receiving the ballots in your mailbox.
Good morning,
We know your offices are receiving calls with questions regarding mail-in ballots. We will be thoroughly reviewing the causes of this delay, and would like to send an update and messaging you can share with voters.
USPS has confirmed to us that most voters who received an April 5, 2024 email confirmation that their ballots were on the way should expect ballots in their mailbox by today, Monday, April 15 or Tuesday, April 16.
Voters who received an email on April 12, 2024 stating their ballot was on the way, should receive it by April 19, 2024.
Given the shortened timeline to return ballots, we are urging voters to use one of the County’s 12 secure dropboxes located throughout the County. Ballots delivered to a secure dropbox are picked up daily by a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy and delivered directly back to Voter Services. As you know, voters must sign and date the outer envelope of their ballot and can only deliver their own ballot, unless they have a completed designated agent form.

There is no question — we need a faster process and delivery for the general election. That requires us to navigate many issues including ballot challenge deadlines, court decisions, vendor printing and processing, Department of State approval, quality assurance, and USPS delivery.
We will be reviewing every step in the process with the Department of State and our election partners to ensure voters have adequate time in November’s General Election to complete and return their ballots.
Best regards, and please do not hesitate to reach out.
